In the third quarter of 2022, the top 5 social apps in Ghana exhibited varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a detailed look at their metrics, based on data from Sensor Tower.

TikTok from TikTok Pte. Ltd. saw significant fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 737K in the week of August 29. Weekly revenue experienced a steady decline, starting at around $4.1K in late June and dropping to about $1.9K by the end of September. Active users, however, showed a promising upward trend, reaching nearly 4.5M in the final week of September.

Bigo Live - Live Streaming App from Bigo Technology Pte. Ltd. had a relatively stable performance in terms of weekly downloads, with figures ranging from 2K to 4.5K throughout the quarter. Revenue fluctuated, peaking at $1.2K in late June and dipping to $484 in the last week of September. Active users increased steadily, reaching 10.8K by the end of the quarter.

Poppo live from poppo team demonstrated substantial growth in weekly downloads, skyrocketing from 84 in late June to over 44K by mid-September. Revenue also saw a notable rise, peaking at $1.1K in the week of September 19. Active users surged dramatically, reaching over 31K in the same period.
